BTC Open Day- 22nd August 2015

Thank you to all the people who attended our annual Open Day on Saturday 22 August. It was great to see such a large turnout through the day, and thank you again to all the BTC staff and friends who made everything possible through their efforts during and leading up to the event.

Display Trucks: The range of Iveco and Hino trucks was quite impressive with a mix of customer’s vehicles and the huge Iveco 7800 prime mover.

Workshop Display: Brian and the lads managed once again to showcase some of the capability of our service department with static displays of our Stenhoj high-lift hoists and our new Truckcam alignment system.

Pallet Sale: Dale and the blokes were kept busy for the day treating regular and new customers to some great bargains, as well as our supply representatives Rob Hocking from Castrol and Craig Mullins from Meritor.

Show ‘n’ Shine: An impressive display of local machinery was on show with Keatings Eagle taking out Best in Show and Parson’s Heavy recovery tow truck taking out the People’s Choice award.

Lucky Door Prize: The lucky door prize which consisted of a range of quality merchandise was won by Lorraine.

Soldier On Charity Auction: Over $4,700.00 was raised for this worthwhile charity, a big thank you to all those who participated and a special mention for Mark Respondek from Grays Online who did such a wonderful job of facilitating the proceedings.

Harley Owners Group Central Victoria Chapter Harley Rides:  It was great to see a showing from the Central Vic HOG chapter although there didn’t seem to be many people keen on going for a ride (they’re not really as scary as they look you know).

Harley Stand: With six Harley Davidson bikes on display, Greg for Harley Central was on hand to answer any enquiries.GSFB Barbeque: The tireless volunteers from the Golden Square Fire Brigade were on hand to provide much-needed sustenance and refreshment to our visitors and it was great to see so many supporting them with their fundraising efforts- and who doesn’t love a sausage sizzle?

Jumping castle/face painting: It was great to see the kids making use of the jumping castle through the day thanks to Castle King and the quality of face painting by Kathy was absolutely amazing.

Snap-On Tools: The Snap-On truck was here showcasing their range of quality tools.
